There's nothing Ferdia loves more than making money. Having spent her whole life in an orphanage, she knows all too well what poverty feels like, but it's not like she minds breaking her back if it means watching the sweet dough roll in. One of her many jobs is acting as the body double of Princess Sirene, who is so sickly that even leaving her room threatens her health.
Due to Sirene's fragility, the duty of securing political peace falls on Ferdia's shoulders—she must marry the third prince of Erlant, the notorious "Poisonous Dragon Prince" Clovis Kulwach Erlant. Far and wide, the rumors speak of the man's evil, while his name strikes fear in all who hear it uttered. This is only reinforced when on the first day she arrives, Clovis threatens to kill her and then locks her away in her room. However, this won't deter Ferdia, as she dons a maid outfit and escapes, only to stumble upon something shocking—Clovis isn't who she first believed.
